Application of circulating water cooler in laser industry

With the continuous development and popularization of scientific instruments in recent years, various types of instrumental accessory products have also been developing by leaps and bounds. Circulating water coolers are one of them. Its role is to produce the instruments through relatively low temperature water. Heat is carried away so that the temperature of the instrument section is kept at a low level. At present, circulating water coolers are widely used in laser marking machines, laser cutting machines, laser welding, laser drilling and other laser equipment. As the water pressure in tap water is unstable and the water rust is too much to block the micropipettes, the normal operation of the machine is affected; the contradiction of the shortage of water resources is becoming increasingly prominent, and the requirements for water quality and temperature of cooling water by instruments and equipment (especially precision instruments) are increasing. The higher the circulating water cooler becomes, the more preferred by more and more users. Although the cooling water circulation method is relatively large compared to tap water cooling, it has the advantage that the tap water cooling method cannot be compared:

(1) The circulating water cooling method can save a lot of valuable water resources;

(2) Recirculating water cooling method Deionized water or distilled water is used to produce no scale in the water path of the instrument and equipment, which can prolong the service life of the laser equipment and improve the stability of its measurement.

(3) The circulating water cooling method (cooling type) can arbitrarily adjust the temperature of the cooling water.

Circulating water coolers are divided according to their functions. There are two types, uncooled and cooled.

Uncooled principle

The principle of the uncooled type is generally relatively simple, mainly consisting of a pump, radiator, fan and water tank. Its role can only be used for cooling, generally can not control the temperature, and the water temperature depends on the ambient temperature of the place. Since the cooling is achieved by blowing water onto the radiator by means of a fan, the water temperature in the water circuit of the instrument cannot be lower than the ambient temperature. Therefore, non-refrigerated circulating water coolers are generally suitable for instruments or equipment with low requirements for water temperature control and low heat production.

Refrigeration principle

Refrigeration cycle water coolers can be divided into two types, start-stop and non-start-stop, depending on the mode of operation. The common principle is to use a temperature controller for temperature control, refrigeration through a compressor, and heat exchange with water to reduce the temperature of the water.

Because the performance of the non-start-stop type circulating water cooler is far better than the start-stop type, it has been generally adopted by foreign manufacturers. Generally, the original circulating water of foreign precision instruments is non-start-stop type. Because there is a certain technical difficulty in the production of non-start-stop circulating water coolers, it is difficult to simply assemble or transform them. At present, only foreign or foreign investment companies can produce them, and they need a certain scale, and the price is higher than the start-stop type.
