Influence of spiral angle error on the quality of cylindrical gear


The detection method of the bevel gear cannot be used in the inspection of cylindrical gears, which is mainly caused by the following factors:
(1) The effect of the undercut phenomenon. The arcuate cylindrical gear does not have an undercut phenomenon during the meshing process, and the spiral bevel gear will have an undercut during the meshing. The minimum number of teeth of the general spiral bevel gear is 13.
(2) The influence of the helix angle. The spur gear is sensitive to the error of the helix angle and directly affects the change of the instantaneous angular velocity ratio. It also affects the pitch error, so the spiral angle error is required to be as small as possible.
This is because the helix angle plays a major role in the relative curvature radius of the tooth surface, directly affecting the width of the tooth surface instantaneous contact trace, increasing the helix angle, the contact trace width is reduced, and the stress on each contact trace is increased. The contact strength is unfavorable, but when the tooth width is constant, the spiral angle can be selected to increase the longitudinal coincidence degree of the engineering plastic pump, thereby increasing the number of contact traces, and the load shared on each contact trace is reduced, and the tooth surface contact strength can be improved.
In addition, increasing the helix angle is advantageous for increasing the bending strength of the gear. For a spiral bevel gear, the larger the helix angle, the smoother the transmission, but the greater the axial force. Since the spiral angle of each point on the tooth surface line of the spiral bevel gear is different, the farther from the midpoint of the tooth surface line, the larger the error.
