These casting dies are customized by one Europe client, who have rich knowledge in die casting and strictly with mold quality. There are 5 different products : 3 covers+ 2 bottom; to save  production cost, this die is build as 8 cavites with four exchangeable cores : 3 cores +4 cavities + only one moldbase. Also the mold is quite complicated: two covers  need 16 lifters to release undercut, one cover need 8 liftes to release undercut. To reduce polishing work before electroplating, the cavties is requested forhigh glossy surface treatment. To make sure die life no less than 500k time, matrix steel is DIEVAR steel(from ASSAB ) with hardenss 48-52 after heat treatment, skeleton steel is P20 with hardness HRC 28-32. After run tryout two times, the samples are approval, nice project experience.
