Centrifugal concentrator working principle and precautions

The drum of the centrifugal concentrator rotates at a high speed with a certain number of revolutions, and the slurry is fed into the inner wall of the drum by the ore and miner through the nozzle. The slurry rotates with the drum at high speed. Under the action of centrifugal force, heavy mineral deposits on the inner wall of the drum and rotates with the drum. The light ore in the slurry rotates with the drum at a certain speed, and is certain during the rotation. The helix angle is rotated by the feeding end along the slope of the drum toward the discharge end, and is discharged to the end by the ore discharge miner, which is the tailings. After 3 minutes of sorting, the ore miner will be automatically turned away from the original normal position, and the ore will be stopped. After the tailings are discharged, the ore and miner will automatically turn away from the original normal position and prepare to intercept the concentrate. Then, the high-pressure flushing water valve is automatically opened, and the high-pressure flushing water is washed down by the concentrate deposited on the inner wall of the drum. After the concentrate is washed, the high-pressure water valve is automatically closed. After the concentrate is discharged, the ore-mining device is given. The mine splitter automatically resets to start the next sorting cycle.

Centrifugal concentrators have the following advantages over planar chutes:

(1) Centrifugal concentrator is more effective in the treatment of fine slime, and the recovery rate of the grain size of 37-19 microns is as high as about 90%. Because the separation of the ore particles in the centrifugal concentrator is a combination of centrifugal force and lateral flow membrane, the enrichment ratio is higher than that of the planar gravity chute.

(2) Since the centrifugal concentrator utilizes the centrifugal force, the re-election process is enhanced and the sorting time is shortened. Therefore, its processing capacity is large, about 10 times that of the automatic chute.

(3) Small footprint and high degree of automation.

The main disadvantages are: (1) water consumption is larger than that of the plane chute; (2) the drum wall slope cannot be adjusted, and the production process is intermittent operation, which cannot be continuously fed.

Centrifugal concentrator in our country has become one of the main equipment of tungsten, tin sludge re-election in recent years and try to lean ore beneficiation of iron. The centrifugal concentrator is still being improved and improved continuously. While improving the sorting index of the beneficiation equipment, it focuses on the development of large-scale and continuous.
