It has purchased and equipped a batch of first-line port inspection and quarantine rapid testing equipment, facilities and reagents. More than 40 quarantine vehicles are on standby at the moment. Laboratory and food laboratory testing capabilities have been expanded and improved; on the basis of the AQSIQ agreed to give Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games the inspection and quarantine preferential policies and convenience measures, the Guangdong Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has also launched a series of service convenience measures. The entry quarantine supervision of entry horses is a pioneering work. In order to ensure the rapid clearance of horses in the Asian Games equestrian events and to achieve the dual goal of “horse stopping” to reduce the stress response of the participating horses and strict supervision of the inspection and quarantine, the Guangdong Inspection and Quarantine Bureau adopted a flexible and convenient customs clearance mode for the inspection and quarantine of entry horses, namely: horses Before entering the country, the inspection and quarantine agency at the port of entry is lodged for inspection in advance; on the day of the inspection, the inspection and quarantine agency sends the electronic information of the customs clearance order to the Customs office of Conghua for the equestrian competition for the agent to go through the formalities for customs clearance; after the horse arrives at the port of entry, it will undergo on-site inspection and quarantine. After passing the inspection, the inspection and quarantine agency at the port of entry shall hand over the paper "customs clearance formalities for incoming goods" to the agents for customs clearance, and at the same time fax the customs clearance orders to the Conghua Inspection and Quarantine Bureau for follow-up quarantine inspection.

At the opening day of the Asian Games, all Asian Games entry materials and participating horses at ports of the jurisdiction of the Guangdong Inspection and Quarantine Bureau passed through the customs smoothly and quickly. Stronger food and hygiene security

To ensure the safety of imported Asian foods, the Import and Export Food Safety Team of the Guangdong Inspection and Quarantine Bureau carried out research and combing of all applicable standards and regulations on nearly 100 varieties of imported foods provided by Asian Games catering service providers. Technical preparations were made for more than 110 projects to be inspected; at the Guangzhou Port, the "Guangzhou Asian Games Imported Food Traceability Management System" based on RFID (Electronic Tag) technology was officially launched to seamlessly supervise the Asian Games' imported foods; 74 restaurants and 3 aviation catering companies conducted comprehensive and in-depth food safety risk investigations and established a unified port food safety detail management standard. These are breakthrough achievements in the supervision of imported food safety.

The Guangdong Inspection and Quarantine Bureau also organized Guangzhou-based Panyu-Foshan and other sub-branches to carry out emergency drills and technical training on port biological incidents, port food poisoning incidents, major plant epidemics, and nuclear radiation incidents; and signed with the AQSIQ.
