The company said that the new plant was transformed from a local old chemical plant. The second-generation bio-methanol produced mainly uses organic waste as raw materials, such as soaps and peanut butter. Glycerol in organic waste is refined to produce biomethanol.

The communique said that the annual output of 250 million liters of the plant can meet the national demand for biofuels in the Netherlands.
