On August 14, the US Department of Commerce issued a notice to make a countervailing preliminary ruling on the extension of passenger car and light truck tires originating in China. It is expected to make a preliminary ruling by September 17, 2014.
On July 21, 2014, the United States domestic industry, the United Steel, Paper, Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, and the Union of Industry and Service Workers International Trade Union (the United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial And Service Workers International Union), AFL-CIO-CLC application, the US Department of Commerce conducted a countervailing investigation on passenger cars and light truck tires originating in China. The subsidy investigation period is from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2013. The customs code of the products involved is 4011.10.10.10 and 4011.10.10.
