Shandong made new progress in the use of foreign capital for pollution control and obtained government preferential loans for a number of foreign banks

The reporter learned from relevant sources that South Korea's export-import bank has, after careful evaluation, agreed to provide a concessional government loan with a quota of 2.7 million U.S. dollars to Qufu Sewage Treatment Plant, which belongs to Jining City. The financial agreement for the loan will be signed by the Ministry of Finance of China and Korea in July. This is a new progress made by the use of foreign government loans for sewage treatment after the Shandong Nansi Lake Basin pollution control project received a German government grant of 47.5 million marks.

In order to realize the recycling of wastewater and the industrialization of sewage treatment, the project plans to invest a total of 41 million yuan, and on the basis of meeting the discharge standards, it will use the Korean government loan to add new nitrogen and phosphorus removal and advanced treatment facilities to realize the reuse of water. The design scale is 40,000 tons/day, of which the medium water consumption is 30,000 tons/day. After the completion of the project, it will greatly ease the local water shortages and play an active role in demonstrating the acceleration of water recycling in Shandong Province. (Solve Xiaoru)
