China Drying Network News The research project of oil contaminated soil remediation in the Xiangyang Oilfield Region undertaken by the Geological Environment Investigation Institute of the Henan Provincial Geological and Mineral Bureau concluded the day. The results of this project will enable the oil-contaminated soil to undergo the function of rehabilitating cultivated land. At present, the research results have been applied to the oil-contaminated soil in-situ remediation project in the Zhongyuan Oilfield. The project mainly uses microbiological remediation technology, uses the synergistic action of plants, and cooperates with the self-developed nutritional liquid phase, supplemented by physical and chemical methods, to form a set of in-situ geologic comprehensive restoration technology for petroleum-based soil pollution. More than 40 mu of comprehensive treatment demonstration zones established in the oil-contaminated areas of Xiangyang City have undergone tests. The degradation rate of petroleum pollutants has reached 85%, and the salt content has decreased by 85%. The treated land has basically resumed farmland function.
