At 10 a.m. yesterday morning, the foundation laying ceremony of the AVIC electric vehicle system project was held in Zhengzhou Airport Port. The project has signed long-term strategic cooperation agreements with a number of vehicle manufacturers in Anhui, Chongqing, Henan, and Guizhou. On this basis, it cooperates with domestic large vehicle manufacturers to produce pure electric vehicles. The project is planned from 2009 to 2020 with a total investment of 20 billion yuan. According to the investment in the third phase of the project, the first phase of the project will invest 1 billion yuan. After completion and production in 2012, it will be able to produce 10,000 pure electric vehicles and 10,000 powertrains annually. At present, the project unit has completed the research, development and trial production of a total of 112 pure electric vehicles, including six cars, a van and a minibus.
At the foundation stone, the project unit showed dozens of electric vehicles . The cheapest one is an electric car modified with a certain brand of mini cars. The price is about 100,000 yuan. This kind of mini car sells for about 40,000 yuan in the market. There is a huge difference in the price between the two. After the project is put into production in 2012, will the pure electric cars produced meet the market demand? The person in charge of the project said: At present, Henan Province and Zhengzhou City are studying related policies. In the future, the price of pure electric vehicles will be reduced through subsidies.
