Import situation Overall vehicle imports remained stable in the month
In January, auto imports declined compared to the previous month, but showed rapid growth year-on-year. In the month, a total of 56,000 vehicles were imported, a decrease of 9.19% from the previous month and a year-on-year increase of 1.4 times; the import amount was 2.184 billion US dollars, a decrease of 5.19% from the previous quarter and a year-on-year increase of 1.5 times.
Among the major imported cars, the decline in off-road vehicles and minibuses was more noticeable than that of the previous month, and the number of cars decreased slightly. Compared with the same period of last year, the growth rates of the above three categories all exceeded 100%, among which the growth of small passenger cars was even faster. It's fast. In January, the number of SUVs imported was 27,500, a month-on-month decrease of 10.26%, a year-on-year increase of 1.0 times; the number of cars imported was 23,000, a month-on-month decrease of 0.34% and a year-on-year increase of 1.5 times; imports of small passenger cars were 4,600, a decrease of 15.82% from the previous period, and year-on-year growth. 7.5 times. In January, the above-mentioned three categories of products imported a total of 55,100 vehicles, accounting for 98.39% of the total vehicle imports.
Parts import performance is better than the same period of last year
In January, the import value of parts and components was US$1.969 billion, a decrease of 5.25% from the previous quarter and 1.3 times from the same period of last year. Among them, 79,200 sets of engines were imported, an increase of 25.75% from the previous period and a year-on-year increase of 1.2 times. Imports amounted to 222 million US dollars, an increase of 20.53% from the previous period and a year-on-year increase of 1.1 times. Imports of auto parts, accessories and bodywork were US$1.599 billion, a month-on-month decrease of 7.46%, a year-on-year increase of 1.4 times; imports of automobile and motorcycle tires were US$22.22 million, a decrease of 21.33% from the previous quarter and a year-on-year increase of 25.82%; imports of other automobile-related goods were US$126 million. It was down 8.46% from the previous quarter and 1.5 times from the same period last year.
Export Bus Outstanding Performance
In January, automobile exports fell in a month-on-month ratio, showing a faster year-on-year growth, and overall performance was better than the same period of last year. A total of 35,900 vehicles were exported in the month, a decrease of 17.97% from the previous period and a year-on-year increase of 44.64%. The export value was 468 million USD, a decrease of 24.36% from the previous period and a year-on-year increase of 6.04%.
Among the major export categories of automobiles, compared with the previous month, passenger cars and trucks decreased to different degrees, and passenger cars still maintained rapid growth. Compared with the same period of last year, the above three categories all showed rapid growth, including passenger car exports. The growth rate is faster. In January, the number of trucks exported was 13,900, a month-on-month decrease of 2.97%, an increase of 18.39% year-on-year; the number of passenger cars exported was 40,800, a decrease of 38.81% month-on-month, and an increase of 43.28% year-on-year; passenger car exports were 5,400, a month-on-month increase of 25.56%, a year-on-year increase. 1.1 times. In January, a total of 29,100 vehicles of the above-mentioned three categories were exported, accounting for 81.06% of the total automobile exports.
Parts export growth faster than the whole industry
In January, the export value of parts and components was US$2.839 billion, a decrease of 9.73% from the previous period and a year-on-year increase of 41.95%, which was faster than the industry's 6.03 percentage points. The engine export was 238,800 sets, a decrease of 2.66% from the previous period and a year-on-year increase of 50.04%; the export value was US$84 million, an increase of 6.18%, and a year-on-year increase of 84.66%. Automobile parts, accessories and body exports amounted to US$1.543 billion, a decrease of 7.70% from the previous period and an increase of 28.75% year-on-year; exports of automobile and motorcycle tires were US$645 million, a month-on-month decrease of 9.57%, a year-on-year increase of 54.86%; exports of other automobile related products were US$567 million. This was a decrease of 16.73% from the previous quarter and a year-on-year increase of 67.03%.
Motorcycle exports fell slightly from the previous month
In January, motorcycle exports performed well overall with a slight decrease on a month-on-year basis and a rapid year-on-year increase. In the month, a total of 675,700 units were exported, a year-on-year decrease of 5.12% and a year-on-year increase of 64.33%; the export value was 293 million USD, a 4.00% decrease from the previous period and a year-on-year increase of 45.15%.
